Sign up for Server space

To be able to complete you Assessment#2 you must have web server space. To do this you must follow this process.

1- Setting up your webspace
                 http://www.csu.edu.au/webpublishing/personal.htm

2- request access
                 http://vupdate.csu.edu.au/cssu/athene.aspx

3- Log in

4- click on request.

5- wait for it to come back with a response

Thank you for requesting access to publish to the web at CSU. Please note, provisioning of your account can take up to 2 hours to process

* Your login is your csu username
* Your password is your active password.
* You will be publishing to the CSUSAP server
* The address of your personal home page will be http://csusap.csu.edu.au/~mpinne01

* Please note you will need to sign into your CSUSAP account, and upload content before your web address becomes active

It is important to understand your obligations with regards to your use of CSU Computing and Communication facilities as outlined in the CSU Web Publishing site.

This site also provides instructions on how to publish your pages to the web as well as basic tools to write and edit web pages.

How to use your webspace

open my computer (on pc)

1- right click - add a network location
next

2- choose custom
next

3- ftp://csusap.csu.edu.au

4- untick - logon anonymously
type in: username

5- log in with username and password
wait an hour or two for your space to be activated.


6- go to my computer, click on your network folder.

sign in with your username and password


7- now copy any files into your server space
the folder you want to put these under is public_html.


you must name your original file
index.html, for it to be the first html page to come up when you go to your web address which will be
